Just three miles off the Wallowa Mountain Scenic Byway, view the world's
deepest gorge-Hells Canyon, deeper than even the Grand Canyon.

This road takes off the loop road at McGraw Creek Road.

The Hells Canyon area is one of beauty, and virtually
untouched by modern man.

You can drive Hells Canyon country by paved roads suitable for passenger cars or RVs,
taking in small towns like Richland and Halfway en route to view the Hells Canyon Overlook.

You can hike in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and Wilderness,
or even arrange for a horse packer to guide your trip.

You can sign on for a jet boat or whitewater rafting tour.

Fishing: For anglers, fishing and boating opportunities abound both on the wild river
and in three upstream reservoirs: Oxbow, Hells Canyon and Brownlee.
For world class warm-water fisning, try Brownlee Reservoir, the largest of the three.
The reservoir is accessible from Richland and Halfway off Hwy 86,
or from Huntington south of Baker City in I-84.

Camping: You can camp at Baker County's Hewitt Park. It's just east of Richland off Hwy. 86.

You can access Hells Canyon from various byways and highways, including
Baker City on Highway 86, and from Huntington on the Oregon/Idaho border.
